Yuki Abe is a producer, a DJ, and artist based in East Tokyo. His works traverse indie dance, disco and house music with the occasional foray into electronica, indie, ambient, hip-hop and R&B.

Collecting inspiration from the changing of seasons, Abe’s music releases and mixes are often filled with deep melancholic feelings, something which makes him stand apart from his contemporaries in Japan.

The Style of Sound Tokyo is now showing his first solo exhibition: ‘During this Summer’ – which shows nine new photographs throughout the gallery’s main room set to a seasonal soundtrack mixed by Abe himself.

Abe’s attitudes to summer are documented fully through out the photographic series in addition to text which is drawn from a series of nine questions we posed to the artist.

Abe’s exhibition: ‘During this Summer’ is showing at Style of Sound Tokyo until the 17th August, 2016.
