One of the most prominent producers/djs I’ve followed for a long time is Esther Roozendaal, aka Estroe, who resides in Rotterdam.

As co-founder of the influential Dutch music label Eevonext, Estroe was responsible for promoting the work of electronic artists such as Art Bleek, Dan Grain, and Tim Wolff, in addition to her own excellent releases and dj mixes (Estroe starting dj’ing in 1998).

Estroe has been widely regarded as one of the most prominent female djs in the world, sitting aside heavy hitters such as Magda, Anja Schneider, Miss Kitten and others, and can be seen sitting aside legendary techno artists such as Dave Clarke.

Since 2009, one of the weekly staples which I’ve always looked forward to digesting is Estroe’s Proton Radio show Estroe Invites, where she invites a new guest every month to play alongside herself.

Needless to say, over the last six years, I’ve been introduced to quite a few artists across house, techno, tech house, and electronic music which I would not have otherwise have heard simply paying attention to the London/UK scene.

So here we are six years later, and Estroe’s mixes are still a delight to experience as you will discover for yourself in her latest installment.

The mix was recorded last month at Estroe’s annual Estroe Invites event at Paradigm, a great underground club in Groningen, Holland, where her guests that evening were MUUI and Ruede Hagelstein.

If you’d like to learn more about Estroe, check out our recent interview with her, and make sure to check our her new record label Rosedale Records, as well as her website Estroe Advice where she dishes out practical electronic music advice and techniques to aspiring musicians.
