Tinged with all all things rock, punk, reverb, and shoegaze, the video celebrates the collaboration of Vladimir Komarov and Atsuo Matsumoto, aka The Dayoffs.
Vladamir and Atsuo have been working together since 2012 on various music projects for other people and now, five years later, the duo are releasing a special album together to highlight their shared music tastes. The name The Dayoffs comes from the constant lack of studio time to work on their own material.
In the video for Next for Nothing viewers are treated to clips of skiers from yesteryear, a DIY style that pays homage to American punk, skate, and snowboard videos of the 90s.
If you’re excited about the sound of The Dayoffs, watch out for their debut album coming out on none other than… Emerald & Doreen.
